My girlfriends know that I love my shoes, after all they are the perfect accessory! The right shoe is a game changer in your wardrobe. Like most "shoe connoisseurs", I am always on the hunt for the next perfect pair. I thought it only fitting that my first post would feature 3 of my shoe musts for spring.
The "Lady Loafer" is here to stay in my book! I first swooned over this gorgeous pair of loafers at Billy Reid's home store in Florence about a month ago. They are menswear inspired with a tassle and tailored toe cap, but the sumptuous white leather is so feminine! I'm wearing them with everything from short rompers to cuffed jeans and flowing dresses. Some other loafer options can be found here and here.
As I have gotten older my tendency to sport stilettos has lessened, unless the shoe is so fantastic that they just warrant a wear (twist my arm, right?). When the block heel came back into play a few seasons ago my feet and I were grateful! I snagged these Prada darlings last year and they are still serving me well. These beautiful nude/blush patent leather heels are such a lovely color, but the heel height makes them wearable for so many occasions. If you are crushing on these like me, here is Prada's latest version as well as in a metallic two tone that is just as neutral. These are also on my radar with a friendlier price.
It would be lovely if we could buy endless shoes on a whim, but that is just not realistic for most of us. sometimes I make a practical wardrobe decision.
This last shoe would be that. Here are three reasons why the open toe bootie is my "go to" for spring. 1.) The camel color is compatible with nearly everything 2.) They are comfortable, thanks to the stacked heal. 3.) They were on sale! #3 is a rarity for me, so I was pretty thrilled. ok, there are actually 4 reasons and number 4 is the most important. They are transitional! I know I will be wearing these shoes long into summer and fall. That is a huge plus for the wallet and wardrobe. For other open toe booties, check here and here. As I celebrate my shoe score, here is another bootie option that is my find of the day!
